Peter C. McKay -- President and CEO
Peter McKay is president and chief executive officer of Watchfire. Peter joined the company in 2001, bringing more than 20 years of technology-related business management experience with enterprise software companies including Computer Associates, Parametric Technologies and eCredit. In his role at Watchfire, Peter is responsible for defining and directing Watchfire's worldwide strategic business plan, software development initiatives, sales efforts, market development and expansion activities. Peter is also a member of Watchfire's board of directors.
Prior to joining Watchfire, Peter was a senior vice president responsible for over $500 million in revenue at Computer Associates. Most recently he was president at eCredit where in only two years, Peter helped put them into a dominant market position internationally and grew company revenue by over 500 percent. Peter serves on the board of directors and advisory boards of numerous business and professional organizations within the technology industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and accounting from Northeastern University.
Michael Weider -- Founder and CTO
Michael Weider is the founder and chief technology officer of Watchfire. Founding Watchfire in 1996, Michael has led the Company to a leadership position in the online risk and compliance management software market. As chief technology officer, Michael is responsible for product strategy, engineering, technical support and customer service. Prior to Watchfire, Michael was a co-founder of a software startup, Quadrillion Corporation. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from Queens University.
Brian McDonough -- Vice President, Worldwide Sales
Brian McDonough is Watchfire's vice president of worldwide sales. In this role, Brian oversees the global sales and channel distribution of Watchfire's web application security and compliance solutions.
Brian joined Watchfire in 2002, and during this time the company has achieved significant sales and channel growth. This growth led to the company's international expansion where Brian spearheaded the establishment of Watchfire's EMEA headquarters in Ireland, as well as subsidiaries in both Singapore and Japan to meet the demand for Watchfire's AppScan product in Asia-Pacific.
Prior to joining Watchfire, Brian was vice president of eastern sales for eCredit where during his tenure his team grew its revenues by more than 500 percent. Brian has also held senior positions including regional sales director for Epicor Software. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Plymouth State College.
David Grant -- Vice President, Marketing
David Grant brings 10 years of software industry marketing experience and expertise to Watchfire. As the company's vice president of marketing, David is responsible for global marketing and product management, which includes overall product strategy and all facets of marketing communications. In his six years with Watchfire, David has played a key role in influencing Watchfire's significant year over year revenue and market share growth. Prior to joining Watchfire, David was a Senior Product Manager for WordPerfect at Corel Corporation. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Saint Mary's University in Halifax, Canada and an MBA in Finance from Dalhousie University.
Carey Stanton -- Vice President, Business and Corporate Development
Carey Stanton is Watchfire's vice president of business and corporate development responsible for cultivating strategic business and technology partners. Carey joined Watchfire from Corel Corporation where he was the executive vice president of Business Development and Legal Affairs. At Corel, he directed all mergers, acquisitions and technology licensing initiatives, along with strategic alliances. Carey spearheaded negotiations resulting in the purchase of WordPerfect, the asset sales of Corel CD Creator to Adaptec, Corel jBridge to GraphOn, Corel Computer to Rebel.com, and headed the acquisition of the MetaCreations asset purchase agreement. Carey holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Business degree from the University of Ottawa.
John Shortt -- Vice President, Products and Services
John Shortt is vice president of Watchfire responsible for product development, customer support and professional services. John joined Watchfire in 2000 bringing with him over 25 years of technology and product development experience, notably in the area of technical innovation. John is integral to the development and evolution of new and existing Watchfire products and services. He brings senior product development expertise from previous roles at Transform Research, Active Systems and Nabu Network. John holds an Honors Bachelor of Computer Science and Mathematics degree from University of Toronto.
