Northwestern State University of Louisiana is home of the iconic “fork ’em” Demon hand gesture. Now that game day tradition meets modern technology with a new Watchfire baseball video scoreboard at historic Brown-Stroud Field (est. 1939).

Located beyond the right-field wall, the high-resolution S10mm LED display stretches 17 feet tall by 40 feet wide. An arch truss designed by Watchfire includes a BOM Bank logo, acknowledging their generous support. The scoreboard is part of a larger stadium renovation, including new turf and lighting.

Purpose-built for sports, the Watchfire videoboard delivers crystal-clear images, true colors, and smooth video playback. Ultra-bright performance keeps content visible in full sun, while rugged, U.S.-engineered construction with globally sourced components ensures reliability
season after season.

This outdoor sports display seamlessly integrates with the Motion Rocket control room package for scoring, live-action video, player statistics, and crowd-pleasing fan cams. Operators can move from hype videos to fan prompts to replays in seconds, keeping energy high and fans engaged
from first pitch to final out. The streamlined workflow helps NSU’s production team tell better stories without adding complexity.

The scoreboard will help NSU generate additional revenue for the athletic program with ad zones, between inning promotions, and pre-game commercials for national and local sponsors.
