University of Wisconsin–Parkside (UWP) has transformed the Alfred and Bernice De Simone Arena with two Watchfire video scoreboards and a scorer’s table, creating a fan experience that fires up the community and student-athlete recruits.

De Simone Arena, home to Ranger Athletics with a 2,200-seat capacity, underwent a renovation that included upgraded lighting, suites, and courtside seating. At the heart of the upgrades are two wall-mounted 9’ x 18’ Watchfire 3.9mm videoboards on opposite ends of the court. They are powered by , allowing student operators to easily manage scores, fan prompts, sponsor ads, and video.

The interior jumbotrons are paired with a 30’ Watchfire scorer’s table, featuring a seamless, high-resolution 3.9mm LED display spanning its full length. Fitting 10 people comfortably, the table delivers player profiles, real-time stats, and full motion graphics. Together with the videoboards, the table creates pro-level production value that makes a strong impression on recruits touring the facility.

“Our volleyball student-athletes will love practicing and competing in the enhanced De Simone Gymnasium,” said Leigh Barea, UWP head volleyball coach. “In addition to providing a high-level atmosphere for matches, De Simone will become a crown jewel for recruiting future Rangers.”

UW–Parkside also invested in Watchfire Creative Services to produce high-energy, branded animations and crowd prompts. These customized graphics bring Ranger pride to life on the videoboards and scorer’s table.
